What do I need to register my new vehicle?
You will need to bring one or more of the following (which must be originals):
– BOS (Bill of Sale)
– NVIS (New Vehicle Information Statement)
– Driver’s Licence or Company Business RIN (Registrant Identification Number)
– Status Card (applicable, non-expired)
– Insurance Company & Policy Number (this can be a copy or viewed on a mobile device)
Photocopies are not accepted
How do I register a private sale of a vehicle?
You will need to bring one or more of the following (which must be originals):
– UVIP (Used Vehicle Information Package)
– BOS (Bill of Sale)
– SSIC (Safety Standard Inspection Certificate)
– Driver’s Licence or Company Business RIN (Registrant Identification Number)
– Status Card (applicable, non-expired)
– Insurance Company & Policy Number (this can be a copy or viewed on a mobile device)
Photocopies are not accepted
What do I need for a basic vehicle transfer?
You will need to bring one or more of the following (which must be originals):
– UVIP (Used Vehicle Information Package)
– Ownership (filled out and signed by the buyer and seller)
– BOS (Bill of Sale, or if a gift, an affidavit)
– Plate Portion (is using own plates)
– Safety (not necessary if putting in temp status)
– Proof of insurance (not needed if trailer or off-road vehicle, this can be a copy or viewed on a mobile device
– Driver’s Licence or Company Business RIN (Registrant Identification Number)
– Status Card (applicable, non-expired)

What do I need to bring to update my health card?
You will need to bring one or more of the following:
– Health Card (current)
– Other ID (Driver’s Licence, a document with your civic address, and a document with your signature, non-expired)
– Proof of residency, such as:
– A letter from the band office with your civic address
– A utility bill with your civic address (hydro, phone, or tax bill for example)
– Passport
– Credit Card
– Valid Provincial photo ID (non-expired)
What do I need to update my child’s health card?
For children under the age of 16
You will need to bring one or more of the following:
– Health Card (current)
– Birth certificate
– Parent/Guardian ID (as listed in Adult health card renewal)
– For guardians:
– Proof of guardianship (such as a band, court, or child services letter, original – photocopies not accepted)
For children ages 16+
– Student ID
– School letter confirming their civic address
– Band letter confirming their civic address (original – photocopies not accepted)
– Birth certificate
– Status Card (applicable, non-expired)
